Choosing a competent carpet cleaner can be a very frustrating task. What method is best, what company should you choose, does price make a difference? All these questions are good ones and there are rights answers for each question.

What method is best? According to the carpet manufacturers, hot water extraction is the best method for cleaning carpet. Before Amerestore started cleaning carpet, we visited the carpet mills in Dalton, Georgia (the carpet manufacturing capitol of the world) and researched what the best method was, the best machine to use and the best cleaning product. We at Amerestore use their recommendations in our business.

What company should you choose? You should use a company that takes the time and expense to send their technicians to an IICRC school to become certified. There the technician will learn the proper cleaning techniques. The company should be a certified firm with the IICRC. When the technician attains the certification, he must follow a code of ethics for the carpet business.

Does price make a difference? YES! Some companies will show a low room rate to get in the door, only to raise the price drastically when they are in your home. They will try to add on a lot of costly procedures that may not be needed. Most reputable companies will price by the square foot and can tell you the price before they arrive.

Our cleaning process has no extras, no hidden charges. We employ a 6-step process that will clean your carpet to your highest expectations.

Step 1: Pre-Inspection
This step helps us find any spots or stains that may need additional attention.

Step 2: Pre-Vacuum
Most all dirt in the carpet is dry soil. We use commercial graded vacuums because the more dirt we can get out, the cleaner we can get the carpet.

Step 3: Pre-Spray
We pre-spray all the carpet with a carpet soap to help in the cleaning process. Without this it would be like washing your hair without shampoo.

Step 4: Pre-Rake
This activates the pre-spray. Agitating it “turns it on,” so to speak.

Step 5: Extraction
We use only truck mounted equipment delivering HOT water to remove dirt and kill bacteria. Yes, that’s right, the hot water is so hot it will kill some bacteria but will not harm your carpet.

Step 6: Re-Apply Stain Protection
When the cleaning is completed, we will re-apply Dupont Teflon to protect your beautiful, clean carpet.
